How to setup automated export on google cloud sql

We can do backup and restore on instance and DB level both. on-demand backup and automatic backup are possible at instance level only which we can configure Google Cloud Console.

Database level there is no options and features available for full and differential backup like SQL server in cloud SQL database.

We can do this task with Export feature this is similar to full backup and this we can do from console or portal.

If we want to do automated DB export (full backup) then we should design ourselves with the help of services . Google provide some services like Google Function and Scheduler which we can use for this purpose as look like following architecture.

Here is following steps which we can use to setup

  1. Create a bucket in Google Cloud Storage.
  2. Create Cloud Function to export a Cloud SQL database
  3. Grant Permission for the Cloud Function to access Cloud SQL export
  4. Test out the Cloud Function
  5. Create Cloud Scheduler Job to trigger the Cloud Function once a week

Configure Impersonation Authentication in IIS8 for MVC Application

Impersonation is when ASP.NET executes code in the context of an authenticated and authorized client. By default, ASP.NET does not use impersonation and instead executes all code using the same user account as the ASP.NET process, which is typically the ASPNET account. There are 5 below steps by which we can establish Impersonation configuration in our secured application environment. 1.)    Creation of Application/Proxy user where Application is hosted. 2.)    Give appropriate access to the user. 3.)    Create Database Login user on database. 4.)    Authenticate User and provide credential on IIS. 5.)    Then Configure web.config on Application.
